Improving the Socio-economic Knowledge of the Proximity and Social Economy Ecosystem

The main objective of this action is to benchmark the socio-economic performance of the EU proximity and social economy ecosystem.

The action will further develop evidence-based policies and ensure greater coherence between this ecosystem and other policies. Such integrated approach should in turn contribute to the development of a sustainable, innovative and resilient ecosystem. The action will deliver policy reports/gather data examining post-COVID recovery and development; organise workshops feeding this work.

The specific objectives of the action are to:

• increase the knowledge base, in order to enrich the public policy debate on the ecosystem;

• bring forward-looking analysis and provide new ideas to support the development of better public policies for the ecosystem;

• monitor the ecosystem recovery in the full geographical scope of the Union in the COVID-19 crisis context.
