Description:
Hochleistungslaser

The University of Regensburg (client) is planning to procure a new high-power ultrashort pulse laser in the Faculty of Physics. The ytterbium-based laser system is designed to operate at adjustable repetition rates of up to 1 MHz and provide pulses with pulse energies of more than 1.6 mJ and pulse durations of less than 250 fs at 100 kHz. For the efficient operation of the subsequent nonlinear compression stages, a high pulse contrast of more than 1:200 and a very good beam quality M² are required, the value of which should be below 1.3. In addition, the highest short- and long-term stability of the entire system is particularly important, especially with regard to output power, pulse energy and beam position stability (direction and position). The laser system should be prepared in such a way that the carrier-envelope phase (CEP) of the laser pulses can be actively stabilized in the future. The functionality of the laser system must be proven in the field and proven by references from proven experts in order to enable competitive cutting-edge research worldwide.
