PBL require an upgrade to the effluent treatment plant at PPC zones 7 & 8.
Effluent Treatment Plant to bio-decontaminate waste from the PPC Zone 7 and 8 facilities including:
— Wall gate hand washers,
— Emergency shower drains,
— Sink Drains,
— Fermenter Drain,
— WFI Cooling Water Drain,
— Fermenter Jacket Drain (Process Water),
— Fermenter relief valve vent drain.
It is anticipated that pathogenic organisms could have contaminated the waste and hence the plant shall be designed to comply with Biocontainment level 3.
In order to be able to discharge this Effluent, heat kill treatment will be required.
The Effluent System is to be installed in the basement of the Building 5, Pharmaceutical Production Centre (PPC).
