Description:

The tender is for the procurement of fully automatic analysis equipment and it is for a 4 year framework agreement + 1 + 1 + 1 year for the necessary consumables in accordance with the specifications for the Medical Biochemisty Department, Blood Bank Section, Molde. Total time of 7 years is equal to the lifetime that is the basis for choice of tenderer.

The equipment will be used for pre-transfusion examinations and other blood type serology investigations by the Molde blood bank. The main applications are is ABO/Rh(D) typing and antibody screening in routine samples from patients as well as ABO/Rh(D) typing and genotyping of blood donors.

In addition, tenders are sought for the necessary equipment for manual back-up for use in the event of breakdown of the instrument.

The procurement of similar equipment for the blood bank in Kristiansund is also under consideration. We want pricing for an option for Kristiansund Hospital. This option is not included in the evaluation.

We furthermore note that the instrument must be ‘on-line’, i.e. connected with bidirectional communication to our blood bank computer system, ProSang, or to our laboratory system (NSL). Prices are obtained from Tieto Enator for 50 000 NOK in order to establish the protocol that enables other instruments to communicate with the same functionality as today. This replacement cost will be included in calculating the lifetime cost of the instrument being sought. Alternatively, the tenderer includes this cost in its offer, which in practice means that the tenderer will be invoiced this cost later. Do note that HMR HF has no say about the amount of this ‘replacement cost’, as the basis of investment and consumption in 4 (+ 1 + 1 + 1) years constitute a negligible proportion of total costs.

The delivery must be inclusive of all components/accessories, removal, assembly/installation and commissioning so that it functions as a whole based on the needs and requirements described.

Provision of the required training for all personnel who work in the affected units must be included.

A site survey will be arranged if needed. Contact Per Stavnesli on per.stavnesli@helse-mr.no if this is wanted.
