The Airport Express Train (Norwegian: Flytoget) shall enter into a contract for internal cleaning of the rolling stock. The contract is valid from 1 November 2021 until the Airport Express Train's concession period expires 31.01.2028

The cleaning of the Airport Express Train's rolling stock is executed in Lodalen (Oslo) and in Drammen. The majority of the cleaning is carried out in evenings and at nights, as the trains are in regular traffic during the day.

The Airport Express train will in a normal situation need daily cleaning of 16 train sets. The rolling stock comprises eight trains, type 78, manufactured by CAF and ten trains of the type 71. The latter train type has been in operation since the Airport Express Train started the service in 1998.

The contract includes internal cleaning, including cleaning of steps that are partly on the outside of the train.

There is approx. 20-year time difference between the train types and therefore many different types of material and technical systems. This is reflected in the available technical documentation.
