This procurement will establish a contract for capacity services at 20 Gbps between Dublin and London. It is being conducted under teh 2006 Regulations in the form of an Open Procedure and Dante is seeking solution proposals and pricing for layer 2, multiple 10 Gbps circuits to refresh the connectivity to the Republic of Ireland. Connectivity for the Republic of Ireland's NREN HEAnet, is delivered through two diverse links. One of these (provided in partnership with the English NREN, Janet) will remain and the scope of this procurement is for a replacement to the other existing link. This is required to be diverse from the Janet link and once implemented will provide 20 Gbps of protected capacity. The contract that may be awarded from this procurement will run for a maximum term of 3 years and will allow for increases in capacity in 10 Gbps increments. Dante may in the life of the contract require the London end of the Service to be shifted to Telectiy Manchester. Bidders are required to identify prices/options for doing this as part of their offer.
