1) Details of the construction project:
- General description:
At the state-owned property Stresemannstraße / Erna-Berger-Straße / Niederkirchnerstrasse in the Berlin district of Mitte, a new extension building including the grounds will be planned for the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), which also serves as a lighthouse project of the Federal Government for Sustainable Building should.
On the property, office space is also to be planned for use by other federal ministries and for the Berlin House of Representatives. The person responsible for the project is the Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA). The goal is to condense the property structurally so that maximum utilization can be achieved.
There are a total of about 29 600 m
The extension is to serve as a model federal project for sustainable construction. For this reason, the quality level Gold of the rating system of the Federal Government for Sustainable Construction (BNB) can be achieved for the building. For the new outdoor facilities, a minimum degree of fulfillment of silver (BNB) is desired. As far as the location of the building land allows, should be sought to reduce the energy consumption of the building and largely to generate the largest possible share of energy on site.
The comfort conditions to be created in the building should be achieved by natural means. This means that robust, low-maintenance, structural solutions are preferable to technical solutions. Only if this is not possible should technical solutions be used (low-tech approach). Particular attention should be paid to reducing the operating and use costs of the property.
