The exhibition construction system is to be offered for rent. In isolated cases, modules that are owned by the client must be stored. It must be set up and made available exclusively for the duration of the International Film Festival. Due to the special requirements of the EFM and the special structural conditions in Martin Gropius Bau (MGB), the trade fair construction system must meet high requirements in terms of design, functionality and technology.
The object of the service is the delivery, assembly and disassembly of a trade fair construction system, which is made available for the annual European Film Market at Martin Gropius Bau. It must be set up and made available exclusively for the duration of the International Film Festival.

The unique and elegant external appearance of the European Film Market, which is created primarily by its trade fair construction system, is to be retained. As the business center of the Berlin International Film Festival, the trade fair construction system must offer a first-class infrastructure for convenient and efficient preparation and processing of business deals.
Exhibitors must, among other things, be offered a practical and high-quality opportunity to present their film productions. This can be achieved through flat screens, monitor stands, players, such as DVD or BlueRay and headphones, or state-of-the-art information and communication technology (connections) integrated into the exhibition stands.
Since the exhibition stands are rented out to exhibitors, this generates income that has in the past contributed to EFM's successful completion of the film market economically. Due to planned changes and expansions (movies and TV productions) and due to high demand, the scope of exhibition space has steadily expanded. However, by limiting the space in Martin Gropius Bau, the expansion can only be achieved by including additional locations (Marriott).
In addition, due to local peculiarities and design specifications (e.g. free-standing wall elements, dispensing with ceiling frames and special consideration of monument protection), not every trade fair construction system can be used in Martin Gropius Bau. The commissioned company is responsible for structural safety and, if necessary, ensures this by providing a trade fair builder and/or technical personnel over the entire rental period.
The EFM has had some exhibition components made and bought them. These should be used by the service provider if necessary and stored for future editions.
Elements newly produced by the service provider, which the EFM may purchase, must also be stored by the service provider for future editions.
