The project includes an investment programme to improve the security of supply of the electricity distribution network and troubleshooting and maintenance work, as well as small-scale investment work (e.g. installation of electricity meters and field work for customer service). The project will be implemented between 2023 and 2027 and possible option years 2028–2030.

The client's objective is to use the services to ensure the safety and compliance of the electricity network, to ensure the security of electricity supply, to enable customers to easily connect to the electricity network and to provide customers with a high-quality service experience.

In addition to investments in security of supply, the project also includes the following service packages:

i. Troubleshooting and maintenance work of the electricity distribution network, regional network, substations and communication network, as well as installation and connection work of electricity meters.

ii. Maintenance inspections of the electricity distribution and regional network, maintenance planning and project supervision, and project support services.

iii. Sähkönjakeluverkon yleissuunnittelu.

According to a preliminary estimate, the investment plan includes approximately 1000 (+ option 500) km of medium-voltage overhead line network to be renovated and 350 (+ option 200) km of low-voltage overhead line network, possibly including deliveries of park transformer substations and distributed compensation equipment space. In accordance with Kajave's network policy, the renovation will be carried out as an underground cable network, an overhead line network located next to roads or the renovation of the overhead line network on the current main street. The implementation of investments will be divided between 2024 and 2027.

The client's estimate of the project's budget is approximately EUR 120 million, including option years.

The project will be implemented as an alliance. The alliance consists of the client and the service providers responsible for electrical work, earthworks and design to be put out to tender, as well as possibly other parties that may be put out to tender later.
