During 2023, the City of Helsinki Rescue Department intends to procure two (2) new rescue management vehicles within the limits of the appropriations, for use in various rescue services emergency tasks. Cable cars are ordered after the procurement decision has become final.
The vehicles are used in the field command duties of the on-duty firefighter for demanding professional fire and rescue operations, especially in densely built urban environments. The vehicles are operated throughout the Helsinki area and, on a case-by-case basis, also in other joint rescue areas. A key part of high-quality field management is well-functioning communications, which has been ensured with the necessary communication tools and computer-based field command systems. Inside the vehicle there are lead positions that allow leading from both the front seat and the rear seat.
Securing round-the-clock field command readiness, including the use of equipment and data and radio equipment, even in exceptionally difficult weather conditions, places special demands on the vehicle and its after-sales service (such as maintenance, repair and spare parts service, as well as technical advice). The vehicle to be procured must be suitable for the purpose as a whole in terms of chassis, suspension and space solutions, as well as usability and serviceability.
For the purpose of comparing the characteristics of the line cars, the tenderer shall provide one (1) base car (off-road vehicle) corresponding to the vehicle offered for a period of three (3) working days at a time to be specified by the contracting entity at a later date within two (2) weeks of the end of the tender submission period.

This contract is not divided into parts because sharing makes it technically too difficult to execute the contract and sharing can make the various parts of the procurement incompatible.
