The tendering process concerns the collection and transport of recoverable packaging waste (glass, metal, cardboard), biowaste and paper from residential properties that are the client's customers, public administrative and service properties and other properties that have joined as customers.

The contract is divided into two transport and contract areas:

The contract period is five (5) years; 2.10.2023 – 30.9.2028. In addition, the contract includes an option for a maximum of two (2) years. Based on the option, the Customer has the exclusive right, at its own discretion, to continue the procurement of transports based on this tender for the period 1.10.2028-30.9.2030 so that the length of the option can vary infinitely between 0 months and 2 years.

The contract includes the collection and transport of waste collected in appropriate collection equipment for all properties and eco take-back points and sorting yards and sorting yards (stations' swap platforms, containers and presses are not included in the contract), as well as bulk waste temporarily accumulated next to them, to reception points designated by Vestia Oy.

The transport and contract area is as follows: the entire operating area of Vestia Oy (Alavieska, Haapajärvi, Haapavesi, Kalajoki, Kannus, Kärsämäki, Merijärvi, Nivala, Oulainen, Pyhäjoki, Pyhäjärvi, Pyhäntä and Sievi, Siikalatva, Toholampi and Ylivieska).

The procurement is carried out as a unit price contract, where the unit is the emptying of the collection equipment (VAT 0%). Emptying prices must include all costs incurred in emptying and transport. As a rule, the deep collection containers at Vestia Oy's eco take-back points must be emptied as full as possible (filling rate at least 80%). Other containers included in the transport arranged by the customer are emptied according to the emptying intervals in the customer register.

The tenderer is required to familiarise themselves with the contract area they are offering. A more detailed description of the contract and the conditions/requirements related to the contract are explained in more detail in the attached works programme.
