Delivery of four brand-new 3-axle waste collection vehicles as complete systems, i.e. consisting of chassis, superstructure and, if necessary, filling. The vehicles must be equipped with battery-electric drive and hydrogen-powered fuel cell to extend the range.

The vehicles are funded through the PROMOTION OF WASTE COLLECTION VEHICLES AND SWEEPING VEHICLES WITH FUEL CELL DRIVE (09/2020) by NIP, BMVI, NOW and PTJ; the management is the responsibility of the project management agency Jülich (PTJ).

The requirements include: Only the procurement of new vehicles from series production can be supported. According to the PTJ, this means that vehicle conversions are not eligible for funding. The vehicles require a vehicle identification number and CoC from the company that provided the electric drive and fuel cell equipment.

The commissioning of the service is subject to the fact that the approved funding is actually granted. If the project management agency decides that the proposed procurement is not eligible, the client will cancel the tender for the lot (s) in question, Section 63 VgV. Any claim for damages from the applicant or bidder is hereby expressly excluded.

Due to the innovative drive of the vehicles, repairs and maintenance are to be taken over by the respective contractor during the warranty and warranty period. It is expected that the subsequent bidders will propose a maintenance contract for the complete vehicle for this and for the following period; this must be presented with the initial offers. The maintenance contract is economically evaluated as part of the service.
