The municipality of Vihti is asking for tenders for three bus services open to all for the period 1.8.2023 - 31.7.2024 and a possible extension period 1.8.2024 - 31.7.2025. Shopping shifts are public transport open to all. Frequencies and operating dates
can be found on a site-by-site basis in Appendix 1. As a rule, school day shifts run from Monday to Friday on school days in the municipality of Vihti. There are approximately 187-190 school days during the academic year. M-P+ shifts run on weekdays during the school year.
There may also be occasional school days on Saturdays (e.g. Christmas and spring holidays or other closed Saturday school days), but the operation of these days is decided by the municipality according to the current need for traffic.
The shifts operate according to the principles of normal open services, and the cars must be equipped accordingly, such as illuminated bus signs and the possibility of cashing in cash / one-time payments and the most typical public transport travel cards (Matkahuolto)
identifier-based cards) for approval. Passenger income is paid to the subscriber on a monthly basis in connection with invoicing. Travel information must also be provided to the subscriber in order to check passenger revenues and monitor the occupancy rate of the car. Passenger statistics must be delivered to the customer in the format desired by the subscriber as an attachment to the invoice. The pricing of trips is decided by the subscriber.
Bids are invited on a site-by-site basis. Tenders can be submitted for one or more items. In addition to the individual destinations, the alternative is to offer sites 4 and 5, 9 and 10, as well as 11 and 12 a joint offer for the operation of these destinations as a whole. The tender is selected on the basis of the cheapest total price. A combination bid is considered to have won if its price is lower than the sum of the cheapest individual bids for the items offered in it.
The tender shall be selected on the basis of the most economically advantageous price. Prices excluding VAT (VAT 0%) are used in the offer comparison. If there are several bidders offering the most economically advantageous offer price, the winner will be decided by lot.
