In this document, the Institute of Product Development and Production Technologies (IPP) at the ZHAW calls for tenders for a high-performance production facility for 3D printing of metals.

The process of the machine is described as powder bed-based production of components using laser energy and metal powder. The technical term is according to ISO 52900 "PBF-LB/M". Outdated, but still in use, are the designations LPBF or SLM. A detailed service description is contained in the enclosed specifications and questionnaire.
