Leirfjord administers a total of approx. 52 km roads, 0.6 km foot/cycle lanes/pavement, and 21 000 m2 square. These shall be operated through the contract.

The objective of the winter maintenance contract is the execution of:

— placing/removing snow clearing sticks during autumn and spring, including the delivery and storage,

— snow clearing in accordance with agreed standard requirements,

— sanding in accordance with requirements, including delivery and storage,

— maintain visual zones in intersections free of snow,

— sweeping.

Other fundamental information:

— the total contract value for a 5 year period is estimated to NOK 10 000 000 excluding VAT,

— the tenderer must expect that during the contract period there may be a reclassification of roads, cf. §§ 5 and 7 of the Road Act (Vegloven).
