The Deggendorf Water Management Office is planning flood protection for the Hengersberger Ohe on the left. The aim is to protect against a 100-year flood event in the Niederalteich/Hengersberg polder. For this purpose, the construction work of the civil engineering and concrete work for the Altenufer pumping station will be put out to tender.

It is envisaged to start the measure in February 2024.

Components of the planned measure are:

- Elevation of approx. 60.0 m of existing dike in earthworks

- Civil engineering and concrete work at the Altenufer pumping station
