The architectural ensemble constituting the site of the Gosnay Charterhouse requires emergency preservation measures in order to stop the ruin of the buildings and site inscribed as historical monuments since 1986 and Unesco for the mining heritage. The problems leading to the degradation of buildings have different origins. Indeed, in addition to the degraded state of the roofs causing infiltrations inside the buildings, the problems of management of rainwater and security of the site against the malicious deteriorations accentuate the disorders. The necessary intervention recommended for security and preservation will consist of the resolution of three major issues that will lay the structural foundations for future development projects.
1) renovation of buildings, resolution of structural disorders;
2) put out of water;
3) hydraulics and landscape issues.
