Stadtwerke Ludwigsburg-Kornwestheim GmbH (SWLB) are planning the construction of various district heating pipelines in the urban area of Ludwigsburg as part of the municipal climate protection model project "District heating network with solar thermal energy (SolarHeadGrid)". The measures are funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety and pursue the goal of uniting the individual power supply units into a network.

Start of the route is in Königinallee and it leads over the Danziger road to the connection heating Wieselweg. Another connection to the stock is via Danziger Straße on Hindenburgstraße. The total length of the track is approximately 1,400 m.

For implementation come buried plastic jacket pipes of classic design. Individual short sections can be provided as a protective pipe installation or, in the case of the connecting cable, as an overhead line. The entire measure is subject to a funding program.
