MBN is currently planning to expand its grid to be able to connect more wind power production onto the national grid. Through this invitation to apply for qualification, MBN invites interested parties to apply for qualification to tender for a contract for the works of extending of the existing 400/150/33kV substation Råbäcken. The works include the design, delivery, installation and commissioning of the 400/150/33kV substation extension, including:
(i) the extension of a 400kV double busbar system,
(ii) the supply and installation of one 400kV transformer bay,
(iii) the supply and installation of a 130kV double busbar system for five 130kv bays, and
(iv) the supply and installation of one 130kV transformer bay, two 130kV overhead line bays, two 130kV MSCDN bays and one sectionalizer bay and ancillary works.
These extension works will become part of the existing and operational substation Råbäcken, connecting onto the national (400kV) grid of the TSO Svenska Kraftnät.
Markbygden Net AB (MBN) is the contracting entity. MBN’s grid connects wind farms in the Markbygden area, outside Piteå, to the national grid. MBN is currently planning to expand its grid to be able to connect more wind power production onto the national grid.

MBN anticipates the party awarded this contract to start works at site in the spring of 2020 and energization of the works to occur in the summer of 2021.
