The object of this assignment is to maintain the existing vehicle detection systems based on double loops (MIV installations, as described in SB 270 Chapter 50 – 'Dynamic Traffic Management and Traffic Enforcement Systems'; section 2.5 'Inductive loops for vehicle monitoring'), as well as to adapt or expand existing installations along the roads managed by the Flemish Region. These roads mainly include the motorways and the ring roads but also some N-roads.
