Entwässerung Essen GmbH, represented by Stadtwerke Essen AG, intends to make new developments and restructure the public sewer system in order to unbundle the Pausmühlenbachs. Currently, the drainage via pre-relief (RÜ) in the Pausmühlenbach; the existing relief structures are in need of renovation; In addition, a retention prior to introduction is missing. In order to achieve the absence of sewage of the Pausmühlenbach, the wastewater of an already produced rainwater treatment plant of the Emschergenossenschaft is to be supplied in the future.
Construction of a main collector DN 1600 to DN 2800 under predominantly inner city and cramped conditions on a total length of about 2.97 km with shaft depths up to about 19 m. The preparation is groundwater friendly and mostly in a closed design in the pipe jacking process (full-cut machine with liquid support, with and without compressed air cushion). In the course of the construction, two tracks of the Deutsche Bahn have to be crossed. In addition to the construction of the main collector is also the construction / enclosure of the secondary channels in the nominal sizes DN 300 to DN 1000 of PE or GRP pipes in open construction (length about 1.12 km) and in closed construction (about 338 m microtunnelling DN 400 to DN 800 with flushing conveyor and approx. 370 m full-cut machine with liquid support in nominal size DN 1600). For the execution of the construction work, the construction of 19 construction pits consisting of overcut bored pile walls (D = 90 cm and D = 120 cm) is required, which will subsequently be expanded into cast-in-place shaft structures. Construction will start in January 2020, with a construction time of 26 months.
