United Learning – the trading name of the Charitable Group, one of the 50 largest UK charitable organisations – comprises 13 independent schools operated within UCST, 78 state sector academies operated within ULT and a central office function that serves all our schools. Over the past ten years, the Group has grown at pace with more joining each year, across the country welcoming children of all backgrounds, all faiths and none, all abilities and giving over 55,000 children an inspiring education. ULT comprises of 78 academies including primary, secondary and ‘all through’; UCST comprises of 13 independent schools (4 of which have boarding facilities).
United Learning's catering service contract is due to be renewed from 1 September 2023, for a 3 year contract plus possible 2 year extension.
All independent schools will be taking part in this tender, plus 66 academies (primary and secondary).
The tender is divided into 5 Lots.
The Lots/values are as follows: (Lot 1) Independent Schools x 13 schools - approx annual value 5.04M GBP; (Lot 2) Primary & Secondary Academies North x 21 schools, approx annual value 3.8M GBP; (Lot 3) Primary & Secondary Academies Central x 15 schools, approx annual value 2.5M GBP; (Lot 4) Primary & Secondary Academies London x 18 schools, approx annual value 2.9M GBP; and (Lot 5) Primary & Secondary Academies South x 12 schools, approx annual value 2.2M GBP. Values exclude hospitality, which will be included in the Tender.
