Description of the production
A tactile collage book usually contains 10-15 picture pages. The image pages usually have a printed color as a background and printed text. Text pages usually have a white background with text in black or color, as well as transparent or colored Braille. The covers are often multi-coloured with tactile surfaces and details as well as Braille.
The print may include:
Raised tactile surfaces and points
plain text, image elements, and color fields.

Every book copy sold to libraries and private individuals is read many times, they are read with their fingers. Distribution takes place by mail, which places high demands on both durable color and cardboard.
The production of a tactile picture book runs for a longer period, often close to a year. It currently comprises the following parts:1. Design of tactile images2. Laser cutting of material for the collage images3. Printing4. Mounting laser-cut material on printed book pages5. Binding
This procurement only concerns sub-3. MTM has ongoing agreements for other elements.
