Uniklinik RWTH Aachen is planning to build an interdisciplinary research building. The "Centre for Research on Phase Transitions of Chronic Diseases" (ZPCE) has a gross floor area of approx. 8,600 m2 and is to be built on Cluster Construction Site B in the Campus Melaten university expansion area.

In order to achieve this objective, an application for funding was submitted pursuant to Art. 91b sec. 1 sentence 1 no. 3 of the Basic Law. The building will contain around 4000 m2 of usable space (NF), 40% of which will consist of (wet/special) laboratory space and 60% office space including offices for computational science and bioinformatics. The building will be designed for 206 employees plus students and student assistants.

The project is to be implemented completely as a BIM project, the performance profiles have been adapted accordingly.

The order includes freelance planning services.

The following services are to be awarded:

- Buildings and interiors (service phases 1 - 9 according to HOAI § 34 in conjunction with Appendix 10).

The required services are based on the HOAI service profiles. The client reserves the right to contract in stages and, if necessary, in sections.

Additional information:

In the 2nd stage of the procedure (negotiation phase), all bidders are asked to develop a outlined solution approach as part of their concept for coping with the performance. This outlined solution approach must be submitted with the initial offer within the framework of the above-mentioned concept.

It is expected that within the framework of the outlined solution approach (based on the project documents) ideas for structural design / dimensioning / choice of materials, as well as functionality will already be presented.

The presentation in the concept for coping with performance (presentation in the context of the negotiation discussion) should be based on sketchy design approaches, image images as well as studies and textual explanations. No separate planning documents are required.

The outlined solution approach is rewarded with 10,000.00 EUR (gross). The remuneration is paid to every bidder who submits a concept that basically meets the requirements described. In the event of further processing, services rendered in the procedure up to the amount of the above-mentioned remuneration will not be remunerated again (offsetting against the preliminary design fee to be remunerated) if and to the extent that the essential parts of the idea sketch are still used as a basis for further processing.
