Description:

Bergen kommune [municipality] and collaborating partners, hereafter called the Contracting Authority, hereby invite tenderers to an open tender competition for the delivery of tools and associated materials and equipment.

The Contracting Authority wants to enter into a Framework Agreement with one total supplier for the delivery of tools, tool accessories and associated products, including ladders, fasteners, tool storage, workshop furnishings and cargo securing equipment.



Bergen municipality with collaborating partners, hereafter called the Contracting Authority, will enter into a Framework Agreement with one total supplier.

In brief about the Contracting Authority:

Bergen municipality currently has 277 400 inhabitants and the municipality is organised with approx. 840 entities, hereunder i.a. schools, nursery schools, nursing homes, cultural institutions and administration. Also included are municipal and inter-municipal companies that are partly or fully owned entities and considered part of the Bergen kommune group. Short description of the procurement:

The Contracting Authority has an ongoing need to purchase various types of tools that are used by i.a. carpenters, mechanics, plumbers, welders, construction workers, electricians etc. All products must be adhere to standards and quality requirements set for tools for professional use of the above named professional groups.

The following product types must be offered:

— hand tools,

— electrical tools,

— battery operated tools,

— pneumatic tools,

— cutting tools,

— consumables,

— cutting and abrasive materials,

— lifting and safety equipment,

— ladders,

— workshop equipment,

— cargo securing equipment,

— storage for tools,

— glue, sealant, tape,

— fire extinguishing devices,

— chains, wire, locks.

The Contracting Authority will need all types of tools. In appendix 4, there is an estimate of the anticipated tool consumption. NB: This is only an estimate and the price form is not comprehensive.

The Contracting Authority has enter into Framework Agreements for construction materials including associated fastening materials, painting and painting products, work and protective clothing, office materials including sanitary products and medical consumables including first aid equipment. It must be expected that products within these categories will be purchased on contracts other than those to be entered here.

The Contracting Authority aims to use this competition to enter into contracts for the delivery of tools through Framework Agreements. The contract period will be 2 years from the contract date, with a unilateral option for a further 1 year + 1 year. Anticipated start is May 2019.

Ordering/call-offs on the contract will only be received through the electronic trade system. Bergen municipality's contract administrator (Innkjøp konsern) can, in individual circumstances, provide dispensation from the electronic trade obligation.
