NSCDA will procure the development of the National Indoor Arena as per the Planning Permission granted by Fingal County Council (Planning Reference FW09A/0061, referenced as "Main Core Building) under a design and build works contract(s) (the “Relevant Construction Works”).

The Relevant Construction Works will comprise the development of a signature structure (ranging in height from 12 to 17 metres, with a circa 43 000 sq. metre gross floor area) over two levels, comprising:

- National Gymnastics Training Centre with a hall, changing rooms, a viewing gallery, press offices and ancillary offices;

-National Indoor Athletics Training Centre with six-lane 200 m and 110 m sprint tracks, an in-field event area, fixed seating for approximately 400 spectators, storage, a crèche, a conference suite, and management/administration offices.

- National Indoor Training Centre with bleacher seating for approximately 1500 spectators, changing rooms, a café, kitchen facilities and storage and a building energy centre;

- site works, including car parking for approximately 300 cars, access roads and traffic signal-controlled junction on Snugborough Road, surface water drainage and foul water system, utilities

- Full-size indoor synthetic soccer pitch, changing rooms, office space, storage.

-Half-size indoor synthetic rugby pitch, changing rooms, office space, storage.
