Awarding planning services for the service specifications “engineering structures”, “outdoor facilities” and “technical equipment” Phases 1-3 and 5-8 for the renovation of the pools in the Wendlingen outdoor pool.

The city of Wendlingen am Neckar is planning renovation measures in its own outdoor pool. The renovation of the swimmer, non-swimmer and mother/child pool is planned.

Swimming pool planning/construction management is required for this.

The Wendlingen outdoor pool, built in 1971, was completely renovated and rebuilt from 1998 to 1999. All cymbals were originally fused. During the renovation, loose tiles were removed, the areas filled and the pools lined with foil. The 23-year-old film liner has exceeded its lifespan and needs to be removed. The review of the rapid mixing and distribution of treated water, including the disinfectant, using a dye test in May 2021 revealed insufficient pool flow for the swimmers' pool, so that pool hydraulics must be adjusted here.

According to the municipal council decision, the swimmers' pool is to be lined with stainless steel, and the non-swimmer and mother/child pools will be lined with foil.

The rehabilitation measures are to be implemented in one go, after the bathing season 2022 until 01.07.2023. The start of planning services is scheduled for January 2022.
