The faculty of science, Aarhus University has purchased a compact AMS system based on a 1 MV tandem accelerator. The system will be operated by the AMS Dating Centre at the department of physics andastronomy and will be placed in the machine hall of the former facility en tandem accelerator, which is no longer operational.

The system should be state of the art and provide a world leading facility within its category of 1 MV terminal voltage accelerators and serve several purposes.
