In the course of the project "A4 Repair of border D/NL (GÜ Vetschau) to AK Aachen" a fundamental renewal of the motorway routes takes place, including the production of noise protection systems and the extensive rehabilitation of the motorway drainage.

The advertised services cover the 2 construction phase of approx. km approx. 5+300 to 8+350. The A4 in the area west of the AK Aachen will be fundamentally renovated over a length of about 3 km, including the junction (AS) Aachen-Zentrum. The works include the renewal of the superstructure of the roadway, the motorway drainage and the production of a retaining wall. In the course of this, the caps of the existing buildings will also be renovated, the AUSA lines will be re-laid and two VZ bridges will be rebuilt.

The renewal of the protective device and the necessary traffic management are advertised as specialist lots and are not part of this tender.

The measure serves to gather experience of various technical aspects that are to serve in connection with future developments of computationally dimensioned superstructures. For this purpose, the superstructure is produced with an asphalt foundation layer in hot construction according to the "Leaflet for the production of asphalt foundation layers in hot construction, edition 2020 - M AFS-H" (FGSV 759).
