The need to carry out this service contract arises from the execution of the works of the Project for the Reinforcement of the Acequia Mayor de Sagunto in the section affected by the Algar reservoir between project levels 196 and 200 metres. The replacement of the AMS affected by the construction of the Algar dam is included in the list of investments of Law 10/2001, of 5 July, of the National Hydrological Plan, as well as in Annex IV of priority and urgent actions in the Mediterranean basins of Law 11/2005, of 22 June. which modifies the previous one. Likewise, the action is included in the Basin Hydrological Plan of the Júcar River Basin District. Cycle 2022-2027, with the code 08M0447. The execution of the works that are the object of the service contract requires the provision of technical and personnel resources that this Hydrographic Confederation currently lacks, since the scarce resources available to the Technical Directorate, and especially Area I, are dedicated to other priority needs, so they could not dedicate themselves to these functions without detriment to those entrusted to this Area. For this reason, it is considered necessary to contract the corresponding engineering services with a specialized consulting company to carry them out, under the provisions of Law 9/2017, of November 8, 2017, on Contracts in the Sector Público.La need for contracting is implicit in the Resolution that authorizes its drafting.
