The Schwarzwald-Baar-Klinikum intends to replace the endoscopy towers (ECT) for the operating area in 2022/2023.

The 10 differently configured and equipped with differently old components are to be replaced by 9 uniformly configured towers. Planned and discontinued in the business plan is the purchase of 2 towers in 2022 and the remaining towers in 2023. It is desired to deliver all towers at a uniform time in order not to have a technology gradient in the OR. The existing optics and the instruments in the house will continue to be used. The highest possible compatibility is desirable. A concept for a step-by-step conversion of the optics that may be technically capable of improvement, e.g. replacement during repair, is desired. If the technology offered requires specific optics that are not available in-house, this must be taken into account and clearly identified.

The endoscopy towers (ECT) are designed to meet the needs of:

- Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic

- Neurosurgery

- Visceral surgery (including bariatric surgery)

- urology

- Gynaecology

- Pediatric surgery

- Thoracic surgery
