It was decided to proceed to the creation of a new DPO by the Metropolis, then to the integration of the four DPOs in this new DPO by way of merger-absorption, involving the transfer of the employment contracts of employees under private law with regard to of article 1224-1 of the labor code.

The metropolitan council of Saint-Étienne Métropole, during its meeting of 3.10.2019, adopted the file by majority. The boards of directors of the four DPOs then also deliberated in this direction.

With this prospect of reconciliation on 1.1.2021, the four DPOs have formed a group of orders in order to retain the service provider who will provide the supplementary provident scheme for employees under private law of the metropolitan office Habitat & Métropole.
