This tender contains a binding scope of seven on- and offshore connections with 525 kV HVDC power cables on basis of EPCI-contracts. The four offshore and three onshore projects are divided into three lots (1 - 3) containing an overall binding volume of 3.536 km core cable length. Additionally the contracting Entity is awarding a lot (Lot 7) with optional volume for future projects with an expected volume of 900 km core cable length and a maximum volume of 2.700 km core cable length.
The complete scope of Works is included in the (individual) lots 1, 2 and 3 (commitment to purchase by the Contracting Entity) and lot 7 (no commitment to call-off by the Contracting Entity). Lots 4 – 6 are combinations of lots 1 – 3, each comprising two lots from 1 - 3. It is clarified, that the scope of Works in the (individual) lots 1, 2 and 3 is identical to the scope of works of combination lots 4, 5 and 6 and that the scope of works will only be awarded once.

3. Project Bornholm Energy Island with approx. 585km (core cable lengths, 585km are only the 50Hertz share of that interconnector project) - offshore project, foreseen commissioning year: Indicative 2030
In total this lot contains approx. 1.355 km core cable length. Up to 15 % of additional volume should be considered for possible additional works.

Production, Transport and Installation of HVDC electrical grid connection systems. It can be onshore and offshore projects. For the onshore projects permanent civil works is excluded of the scope.
Expected call off volume is 900km (core cable length) and the maximum call-off volume of core cable km will be 2.700km. However, no commitment to call-off is given by Employer, This lot is only for optional volume and functions as a framework agreement.
The top four bidders will be awarded with a framework agreement. The call-offs will be placed with the first-ranked bidder. In case the first ranked bidder rejects the call-off within four weeks, the call-off will be placed with the second-ranked bidder. In case the second-ranked bidder rejects the call-off within four weeks, the call-off will be placed with third-ranked bidder. In case the third-ranked bidder rejects the call-off within four weeks, the call-off will be placed with the fourth-ranked bidder unless he rejects the call-off within four weeks.
In addition to VI.3.6) in case that the optional project is an interconnector project, the calling-off party may also be the project partner according to the further conditions set-out in the contract.
