Tenders are invited for the Provision of Funeral Services for deceased patients within County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust who do not have a next of kin to organise their funeral this includes burials and cremations. The contract will also include the cost of funerals following miscarriage and stillbirth and the transporting of bodies between hospital sites, Royal Victoria Hospital Newcastle or to/from the Centre for Life in Newcastle if required.

The contract period is 12 months commencing 1.4.2016 (with the option to extend for a further 4 x 12 months).
