Description:
Procurement of a National Research Centre on Housing and Welfare

KMD wants to strengthen long term research on housing and welfare, and will establish a centre for such research. The contracting authority would like more knowledge on the connections between the housing market, low income, and living conditions. This includes questions such as: Who are the vulnerable groups in the housing market, what social drivers and risk factors have led them there, and what must be done to improve the situation? There is a further need for studies that look at disadvantaged persons' housing situation in connection with the housing market in general, and the general housing policy. The contracting authority would like more research on the importance of living conditions in other welfare areas such as school, education, work, and health.

There are several environments that currently work on housing research aimed at vulnerable groups, and one of the aims of the centre is to connect housing researchers and the research together. This can be in the form of a network or other forms of cooperation, with a centre as the base.
