Technical training services. The provision of manpower services in the form of Technical Instructors, on an ‘as required’ basis. The training is provided to both Phase 2 and Phase 3 trainees, mainly at Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering (DCAE) Cosford, although provision of manpower at other DCAE sites (HMS Sultan and Arborfield) may also be required.

The primary task within this reqirement is to deliver practical training in maintenance and repair, and theoretical elements of Aeronautical Engineering to groups of military and civilian students in the trades of Mechanical (Airframes, Propulsion), Avionic and Survival Equipment. additionally the requirement includes the provision of training support to meet the business need, including lesson preparation, planning and course maintenance to ensure that all the required elements of the training package are delivered within the set timescales.

Provision of approximately 20 Trainers will be required to have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship or completed a period of recognised training and obtained an ONC, BTEC, SCOTVEC, CGLI or equivalent with at least 5 years practical and management experience in one or more engineering disciplines.

The contract will run initially from 1.10.2012 to 31.3.2014 with 3 one year options. The MOD is planning to award this contract in August 2012 for commencement on 1.10.2012.
