The subject of this invitation to tender is the upgrading of two railway overpasses as part of the extension of the regional rail infrastructure.

The regional railway extends and electrifies its infrastructure. In km 19.5 + 27.0 of the railway line crosses the Hahnenfurther way and in km 20.7 + 19.0 the road Am Sandfeld in the city of Wuppertal the route of the Regiobahn (road 2423 Dusseldorf Gerresheim - Dornap-Hahnenfurth). The intersections are made as railroad overpasses. The current prime contractor of the roads is the city of Wuppertal. The two railway overpasses are to be upgraded as part of the extension of the regional rail infrastructure. Reason for the recovery is the leakage of the vault. The vaulted masonry is completely leaking, so that water penetrates into the building and leads to damage to the masonry. The grout is mostly rotten and the masonry is loose and in places flaked off. Both durability and traffic safety are impaired.
