The municipalities in the Sør-Østerdal region shall procure a joint platform for welfare technology. The platform shall support the digitalisation process that the health and welfare services have and it shall ensure a uniform continuation of the project ‘welfare technology in Sør-Østerdal’.

The procurement shall ensure that the health and welfare sector in the Sør-Østerdal region gets a joint and uniform system that sees to all technological welfare support, such as alarm calls, data acquisition etc. within the areas:

— Technologies that provide safety.

— Mastering technologies (medical measurements).

— Review and treatment technologies.

— Welfare technologies.

The Sør-Østerdal region consists of Elverum, Engerdal, Stor-Elvdal, Trysil, Åmot and Våler municipalities, with a total of just over 40 000 inhabitants. The municipalities have entered into an inter-municipal collaboration managed by the Regional Council for Sør-Østerdal.
