In the future, the wastewater coming to the Kärkölä wastewater treatment plant will be transferred by a transmission line to Herrala. The purpose of the project is to implement the necessary transmission line with pumping stations and other related technical facilities, including the necessary designs.

In connection with the construction of the line, the aqueduct located in the area of the municipality of Hollola will be renovated to the extent specified in the master plan. The technical arrangements of the treatment plant area will be changed as proposed in the master plan, which will leave the old treatment plant out of use. The demolition of existing treatment plant structures is not included in this contract, except to the extent that the new arrangements require it.

In addition to the above, the procurement includes the design and construction of an aqueduct for the Hollola water supply plant in accordance with the invitation to tender. The share of the aqueduct is included in the total contract.

The form of implementation of the project is the ST contract. The ST contract includes all the necessary designs, procurements and their installation in working order in accordance with the contract documents.
