The client intends extensive sewer construction work in the Frohnhausen district of Essen. In the future, a large part of the district is to be drained west and connected to the outflow created by the Emschergenossenschaft. For this purpose, extensive new and conversions of existing sewerage systems are necessary in the planning area, as the sewer system needs to be more efficient and the main flow direction reversed for hydraulic reasons.
The planning area is divided into 2 lots taking into account hydraulic dependencies, which are to be planned and built independently of each other. The services to be rendered with this method relate to the planning, site management and local construction supervision for the measures “Frohnhauser drainage projects lot 1 and lot 2”. They are made up of parts of service phases 1-8 HOAI 2021 (basic and ancillary services).

Lot 1Lot 1 includes the area of the street Am Richtenberg, across Dollendorfstraße, Möserstraße and Niebuhrstraße, to Giesebrechtstraße. The starting point here is a connection shaft for the “Am Richtenberg” measure, which is also being planned, which is in turn connected to the plant of the Emschergenossenschaft.
Lot 1 includes the renewal of a sewer system up to a nominal width of DN 1600, at depths of partial field over 10 m. In total, sewage channels with approx. 1 250 m DN 1600 (or DN 1400), approx. 100 m DN 1200, approx. 300 m DN 1000, and approx. 350 m smaller nominal sizes up to DN 800, in closed and open construction, are to be planned, among other things, 2 Intersections of the Ruhrbahn GmbH tram in the rail circuit on Frohnhauser Straße must be taken into account.
In addition to the new construction of the sewer channel in pipe propulsion at large depths, the unbundling of the stock channel, which has depths of up to 4 meters, is to be planned to be planned, or renewed according to a rough concept to be handed over after the order has been placed after the order has been placed. The connections to the deeper collector must also be taken into account in the planning process.
In the course of this planning, it must be taken into account that various supply lines of Stadtwerke Essen AG must be renewed at the same time in this planning area and that intensive coordination with the SWE planning department 7V must be carried out.
The construction project is expected to begin on March 8, 2024 and completed by 26.2.2026. Planning, including calculation and procurement documents, must have been completed by August 1, 2023, taking into account the required construction assignment.
The services to be rendered with this call for tenders (see point II.1.4) are comprised of the basic and special services required in Appendix 09b_Service description_performance picture HOAI for LPH 1 to 8.
Lot 2Lot 2 includes the area of Frohnhauser Straße, between Dollendorfstraße and Berliner Straße.
Lot 2 includes the construction of a sewer system up to a nominal width of DN 900, at depths of up to 6m. In total, sewage ducts with approx. 600 m DN 300, approx. 200 m DN 400, approx. 115 m DN 500, approx. 45 m DN 600, approx. 60 m DN 700, approx. 10 m DN 800 and DN 900, in closed (tunnel construction) and open construction, are to be planned, taking into account several intersections of the Ruhrbahn GmbH tram.
In the course of this planning, it must be taken into account that various supply lines of Stadtwerke Essen AG must be renewed at the same time in this planning area and that intensive coordination with the SWE planning department 7V must be carried out.
The construction project is expected to begin on 9/5/2024 and be completed by 22.2.2027. Planning, including calculation and procurement documents, must have been completed by 28.1.2024, taking into account the required construction assignment.
