Beekdaelen is a rural and green municipality between the urban areas of the Western Mining Region and Parkstad Limburg. More than 36,000 people live in Beekdaelen in an area that covers almost 8,000 hectares.

The municipality of Beekdaelen has decided to tender the green management of the public space, as laid down in the overarching green maintenance policy. The underlying goal is to activate closer cooperation between citizens, entrepreneurs and the municipality in the broadest sense of the word.
