Maintenance services of telecommunications equipment. The MOD has a future requirement for the repair and maintenance. Post Design Services of a Telecommunication and Radio Network in the Falkland Islands. The requirement is also for an on-Island Network Resident Engineer who is required to be on call 24/7 365 days. The MOD would also welcome any innovative proposals utilising modern technology or the use of other on-Island network bearers. These services are required for a 10 year period from 1.6.2014 to 31.5.2024.

The proposed maintenance element of the contract will include but will not be limited to the following major elements:

Maintenance and support of 10 Falkland Island Sites and a single training facility based in the UK.

Maintain a 99,5 % system availablity 24/7 365 days.

Provide a 24/7 365 days Technical Support call-out service for fault investigation and rectification in support of military operations.

Provision of an annual Network health check.

A range of ad hoc Post Design Services (PDS).

Repairs as required after maintenance on a 24/7 365 days basis.
