The starting point is a ready-made solution that can be deployed quickly and integrated with the source systems used by the subscribers. The client receives analysed information on issues essential for the lifecycle management and optimisation of IT equipment assets, as well as timely prompts for events requiring reaction. With the service, the Client receives up-to-date and accurate information about furniture, the number of devices in the workstation environment, usage and the remaining life cycle.
The acquired solution is intended to provide a versatile and easy-to-use tool for the lifecycle management and service invoicing of computers and furniture.
In the service model, a profit centre has been established at the University of Oulu, which buys the equipment and furniture. The purchased service equipment and furniture are offered on a monthly invoicing basis to the units of the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences Ltd. The collected income is allocated to the business unit that bought the equipment and furniture back.
The Acquired System will be used to manage the computers and furniture to be procured and to automate the related service billing.
