The cath. Hospital Hagen in accordance with GmbH intends to close Elsey Hospital with its somatic departments of surgery, internal medicine, ENT and gynecology and to convert it into a specialist clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy. The aim is to merge the psychiatric department of Hagen Hospital with the existing psychiatry at the Elsey site. To implement this measure, considerable replanning and conversion measures are required. Various construction services are to be advertised and awarded for this purpose.

The existing Elsey Hospital is to be converted into a specialist clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy. To this end, the existing building is to undergo considerable renovation work. Since this is a conversion during ongoing operations, it will be carried out in three construction phases. The renovation work began in January 2022 and is expected to be completed by September 2026. The subject of this procedure is the construction work of construction phases 2 and 3.

In all construction phases, the spatial structures of the existing building will be changed and adapted to use for psychiatric and psychotherapeutic purposes. The 2nd construction phase includes the 2nd floor of building A and the ground floor and 1st floor of building part C. The 3rd construction phase includes the ground floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor and attic of building part D.

In the construction phases, the old finishing, non-load-bearing drywall and masonry walls, as well as door and window elements will be demolished.
