Bergen Vann operates and manages the municipal water and sewage installations in Bergen Municipality, and operates the municipal water and sewage installations in Bjørnafjorden Municipality. In Bergen Municipality this consists of 100 km of tunnels and rock halls.
Since 2007, inspections have been undertaken for control and implement safety measures in order to ensure safety against debris and landslides in many of the installations.
The water and sewage installations in rock consist of a treatment plant for waste water and associated supply tunnels, sewage and discharge tunnels, as well as water treatment plants with pure water basins, and tunnels for supply and distribution to the subscribers.
The treatment plants for waste water and water treatment plants consist of larger rock chambers with several installations and open basins that require extra measures and equipment in order secure the rock in the rooms.
The contract also includes safety measures for open air cliffs and cuts at access roads and open air facilities.

The assignments will be located in Bergen Water's tunnels, rock halls, and open air cliff and cuttings in all of Bergen Municipality, as well as equivalent installations that Bergen Water operates in Bjørnafjorden Municipality. The work will not take place at a fixed site.
The total estimated contract value over 8 years (including options) is approx. NOK 160 million (excluding VAT).
The maximum contract value for the entire framework agreement period, including options, is NOK 200 million (excluding VAT).
