Nile Basin wetlands of transboundary significance: Inventory, Baseline Study and Framework Management Plan with a nested case study on the Sudd’. The objective of this assignment is to develop — for the transboundary wetlands and wetlands of transboundary significance in the Nile Basin, the following:

(a) a wetlands inventory, atlas and monitoring approach;

(b) a baseline assessment for the eco-hydrology, ecosystem services and biodiversity of major wetlands in the Nile river system;

(c) scenario assessment for key wetland management and development options, and;

(d) a framework wetlands management plan; as well as

(e) a nested special focus case study on the Sudd.
