The work's nature and extent:

The work comprises the renovation of 3 tunnels that are located in Ålesund municipality.

— Moa tunnel (560 m). Annual daily traffic count approx. 11 000.

— Blindheim tunnel (840 m). Annual daily traffic count approx. 22 000.

— Hatlaås tunnel (314 m). Annual daily traffic count approx. 19 000.

Moa tunnel:

In Moa tunnel the work mainly consists of updating the electrical installations and safety equipment.

Blindheim tunnel:

In Blindheim tunnel the safety equipment shall be updated and a camera system connected to AID, based on radar, is to be assembled. In addition the safety equipment shall be updated and a camera system connected to AID, based on radar, is to be assembled. New railings shall be assembled at the tunnel openings. New transformers shall be assembled outside the tunnels in new technical buildings, with the feed of high voltage to them in cooperation with Mørenett.

Hatlaås tunnel:

The electrical installations shall be replaced in Hatlaås tunnel. Approx. 3 400 m² of existing PE foam without fire protection shall be taken down. The tunnel shall be cleaned and secured in accordance with the builder. New water and frost protection shall be assembled throughout the tunnel. Railings shall be assembled on the eastern side of the road line for the open air zone.
