The agreement consists of the design and realization of the new publicly accessible swimming pool to be built in the municipality of Eersel. With the realization of a multifunctional swimming pool, the swimming pool in Eersel again meets the quality requirements and social needs of our time. The new swimming pool replaces the current Albatros swimming pool that has been in use since 1969.
Due to the complexity of the project, an integrated contract is deliberately chosen, in this case a Design and Build agreement (hereinafter: D&B agreement) based on the UAV-GC 2005. The contract to be awarded will be subject to the Uniform Administrative Conditions for integrated contract forms 2005 (UAV-GC 2005).
The intended effective date of the agreement is summer 2023.
With a D&B agreement, there is a combined assignment because design and execution are housed in one assignment. By bringing implementation knowledge into the design phase, a better integration of both program of requirements, design and execution is intended. The municipality wants to achieve an efficiently built design. In addition to the better coordination between design and realization, this approach ensures a lower chance of error because there is no transfer from the design party to the executing party.
Any subdivision of the contract into lots null and voids the advantages mentioned. For this reason, the contract is therefore not divided into lots. Within the assignment, there are sufficient possibilities in the eyes of the client, such as combinations of contractors and partnerships between contractor and architect, so that SMEs can participate.
The final target budget for the award phase shall be determined at the start of this phase.
