Cleaning work in the track of the Nuremberg subway 2024-2025

Subject of the order:

- Cleaning of the track of the Nuremberg subway

- Cleaning and watering after grinding work

- Cleaning of the track cover and beams

- Cleaning of the rails from railway dust and grease

In connection with grinding work in the entire subway track network of Nuremberg (Nuremberg and Fürth), cleaning work is to be carried out in the track on tracks and switches.

Furthermore, the components of the busbar such as the busbar cover and carrier are to be cleaned of adhering dirt. The work will be carried out both outdoors and in the tunnel area.

Outdoors, it must be taken into account that there is no protection against the weather and that the work can also be carried out at temperatures around freezing (≥ - 5°C). All work must be carried out from the track. The cleaning work must be carried out at night from about 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The beginning and end are located at the Kafkastraße depot site.

Since the work has to be carried out in the tunnel area, among other places, and the average distance between the stations is approx. 800 m, a supply of the measure from the track is required. This means that the equipment required for cleaning as well as the required water must be picked up at the Langwasser depot and transported to the place of use.
