The Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research aims to survey employer assessments of higher education graduates. Assessments of quality and relevance from an employer's perspective constitute an important dimension in our understanding of quality in higher education. Along with other studies and datasets, a survey that captures this dimension will contribute to research in the field. As such, the survey should be national and will be commissioned for a period of 3 years.
A proposal submitted for consideration must include a plan for how various sectors and occupational groups will be incorporated into the survey and which topics/questions will be covered. The proposal must also specify method and scope. The survey should cover occupational groups in both public and private sectors, with sufficient scope to provide insight into regional differences in demand for certain skills/competencies. The survey should also have sufficient scope to allow for disaggregation at the institutional and disciplinary levels. The proposal should indicate whether the survey will encompass all sectors and occupational groups each year, or rotate between groups.
